Self-talk: How you speak to yourself matters

$20.00

Dancers, do you ever notice that voice in your head is really good at being negative?

“I can’t do this”… “I’m not as good as them”… “I’ll never be good enough”… “The director must hate home”… “I’m going to mess this up”…

…The list of possible negative self-talk goes on and on.

Sound familiar? YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

So many of my clients come to me with negative self-talk. This is, in-part, due to human’s negativity bias—our natural inclination to notice and focus on the bad stuff.

But client’s who come to me with negative self-talk often don’t even notice that part. What they notice is that they feel low confidence… nervous… unable to focus… unmotivated, etc… Or a combination of those things.

One of the first things I do in these situations is ask them to reflect on their self-talk. What does it sound like, and when?

The vast majority of the time, once they think about tit, they realize how negative the voice in their head really is. It’s no wonder they aren’t feeling confident, feel distracted, etc.

Your self-talk forms what you believe, and where you focus. Your self-beliefs and what you focus on is where you live. The best part? YOU. GET. TO. CHOOSE. You get to decide how your self-talk affects you—whether it serves you, or hinders you.

That’s why I created this downloadable mini guide, complete with worksheets. If you’re feeling ready to begin your self-talk transformation, this is for you!!!
